Emu Ridge Newsletter February 2022

newsletter blog, Emu Ridge Eucalyptus oil Kangaroo Island

Hi Emu Ridge friends,

Welcome to 2022. Things have been a little quiet here on KI with border restrictions and crazy covid. So we are excited that all areas of Australia can now visit us in SA with borders opening including international travel on the 21st Feb yay! So with some time to spare we thought we would send out an update on what’s been happening at Emu Ridge and on KI as our December news was very, short, sharp, and shiny!

Thanks always to our loyal customers for their support. Without you, we would not be here! Wishing you all health and happiness for the rest of the year ahead!
Kind regards Larry, Bev & Team

How To Ease Covid Symptoms

covid inhale
Great news from Covid customers. The age old natural steam inhalation using our Eucalyptus oil has effectively reduced their symptoms of breathlessness when they had contracted the virus. Eucalyptus oil is an effective anti-bacterial and anti-fungal oil and with its medicinal properties, helps to aid in decongesting when used in inhalation. Read more in our blog post here ….

More Awards for Kangaroo Island Ciders

Kangaroo Island Ciders have received their first awards for 2022 at the Australian Cider Awards! Colony Cove Vintage, Draught, and Original Ciders all won top silver (almost gold) in their category. Graham was devastated to receive silver, after receiving Gold for many years prior! But we think he’s done pretty well out of 231 participants!! The Year of Chefs

In the past year we have been lucky to welcome some great Chefs to our team. They have all brought their own unique passions, skills, and delicious meals to our Emu Ridge Café. First, we had Birdie and Bond from Adelaide, then Yuhi from Japan, and we now welcome Angie and Grant from Victoria, and local KI Chef Nick. See some of the mouth-watering meals here….

60th Birthday Celebrations

Bev and Larry both celebrated their 60th birthdays recently. Bev had a weekend away in the Adelaide Hills at a beautiful resort called Parkwood Retreat, organised by Mel, catching up with special friends and family and Larry enjoyed his night surrounded by friends and family at a small party held here at Emu Ridge on Kangaroo Island.
