Year of Chefs, Emu Ridge Eucalyptus oil Kangaroo Island

It has been an exciting time in the Emu Ridge Café thanks to all the great Chefs that worked with us over the past year. We are grateful for the skills and passion they shared with us, and of course all the delicious meals they introduced. First, we had Birdie and Bond from Adelaide, who helped us host some fabulous degustation nights, then Yuhi from Japan, who introduced Japanese Cuisine and his delicious desserts, the latest to join our team is Angie and Grant from Victoria who introduced some great Australian themed dishes and have worked with Mel with a new breakfast menu. Lastly its great to have local Kangaroo Island Chef Nick joining our team. Take a look at some of the delicious meals created in the past from the Emu Ridge Café below…

Chef Yuhi from Japan joined us in August 2021 with his partner Chizuka. Yuhi introduced Japanese dishes to our Emu Ridge Café, such as Dumplings and Chicken Karaage, as well as lots of yummy desserts, which he discovered was his passion! This was great news for us and our customers as you will see in the video below.

In February 2022 we welcomed Chefs Angie and Grant from Victoria. Angie and Grant are experienced chefs with some great ideas. One of their introductions to the menu has been incorporating our own KI Eucalyptus Oil to make Eucalyptus butter to serve with our dampers and signature rosemary and halloumi muffins, and using our Lemon Myrtle, Kangaroo Island Oats & KI Honey in our in-house Museli,  they have worked with Mel to make a delicious new breakfast menu below.

Emu Ridge Café is open from 9 am to 4 pm for meals all day, locally roasted barista coffees, and cakes and we have options for vegetarians, vegans as well as a kids menu.  You can make a booking online or just pop in.
