Chef Megan's Table 'KI Locavore' at Emu Ridge

What a great night we had with Chef Megan from @cargocateringco and her sold out “KI Locavore” event. Guests experienced Megs signature eclectic flavours celebrating Kangaroo Island produce.

We were really excited to have Megan’s Table at Emu Ridge in September. It was so great to showcase the talent of an ex local girl who was brought up around excellent food all her life with mum Charmaine Lunn (Zealand) and there fabulous restaurant Beaches that we enjoyed many a time while it was operating at Emu Bay.

This specially curated 5-course Degustation tasting menu was outstanding. Megan Crouch and the team from Emu Ridge hosted a night full of the best that Kangaroo Island has to offer.

CHEF MEG’s

“Megan spent her childhood on the Island before moving to Adelaide to complete her education. She studied at culinary school in her early 20s and quickly went on to start ‘Cargo Catering Co’ alongside her two sisters. Today she heads up a team of chefs catering to some of South Australia’s most elite events. She visits the island as often as she can, where her time is filled with fishing, foraging and cooking with local produce. Growing up in a Restaurant run in the family home in Emu Bay and working at her Uncles Marron farm as a little girl, Megan credits the islands beautiful produce as her inspiration to work in the culinary industry.
