Kangaroo Island Thryptomene ericaea essential oil

thryptomene, Emu Ridge Eucalyptus oil Kangaroo Island

World first Kangaroo Island Thryptomene ericaea (Mat Heath Myrtle) essential oil.

Larry was excited to distill our native thryptomene here at Emu Ridge, he believes the oil will be a great medicinal oil. If only someone was willing to research!

Thryptomene ericaea is unique to South Australia. It occurs on Kangaroo Island and, to a lesser extent, on lower Eyre Peninsular.

Centenary Starburst is a striking, medium sized shrub which grows on Kangaroo Island in mallee eucalypt vegetation.

It grows from 0.5 to 1.2 metres in height. In spring its stems or pink-tinged buds burst into dainty white flowers.

Flowering start in August and ends in November.
