Meet Bek – Our Talented Soap Maker & The Heart Behind Our Natural Soaps

We’re excited to shine a spotlight on Bek, our soap maker here at Emu Ridge! Originally from Germany, Bek has called Kangaroo Island home for just over a year, and in that short time, she’s made an incredible impact on our team and our products.

Bek is one of those multi-talented people who seems to do it all, from welcoming visitors in our retail shop and café to handcrafting our beautiful range of natural soaps. Her creativity and passion truly shine through her work, and we’re so proud of what she’s achieved.

Thanks to Bek’s dedication, our much-loved Body Bar – Emu & Eucalyptus is finally back in stock! This gentle, nourishing soap has become a favourite among locals and visitors alike. It’s handmade right here at Emu Ridge using our pure Eucalyptus Essential Oil, combined with Emu Oil, Kangaroo Island Olive Oil, Rice Bran Oil, and Coconut Oil. The result is a creamy, moisturizing bar that cleanses and hydrates while leaving your skin soft and refreshed. The natural antibacterial properties of eucalyptus and the uplifting scent of lemon myrtle make every wash feel like a little spa moment!

But that’s not all Bek has been up to. She’s also been perfecting our Shampoo and Conditioner Bars, now featuring a new and improved recipe. These bars are a wonderful eco-friendly alternative to plastic bottles — rich, long-lasting, and filled with natural goodness for your hair.

And for those who love to keep things simple and sustainable around the home, Bek also makes our popular Dog Shampoo Bars and Laundry Washing Liquid. Each one is made with care, using ingredients that are gentle on you, your pets, and the environment.
