We have been busy here at Emu Ridge over the low season with renovations in and around the shop.
Tristan and Larry with the help of a few people have transformed the look of Emu Ridge just in time for the peak tourism season on KI. Below is a gallery of images with all the improvements including the new brush fence around the bus parking area, which now frames the outdoor picnic area and makes it safer for families. The front deck being oiled, new plant boxes near car park, freshly painted MacGillivray Post Office the new entrance sign and automatic sliding doors.
We would like to thank Alice from Big Quince Print for the new sign at the front of the shop, it looks wonderful!
Thanks to Phil, Leanne and Daniel from Expression In Colour for re-painting the Post Office back to its original colour, just like it was over 100 years ago.
Also thanks to Spanners and Gavin Bates for laying down the marl in the bus parking area and on the paths around the still.

RESTORED MACGILLIVRAY POST OFFICE
See the short video below of Expression In Colour (Phil, Leanne and Daniel) painting the Post Office. They have recently come back to live on Kangaroo Island but many many years ago they painted our toilets and it’s great to have them back here again.

Emu Ridge would be nothing without great staff. They are such an important part of anyones business. My bosses whom I thank from the bottom of my heart for the training that I was offered many years ago from Kennetts M10 at Kadina, they gave me opportunities to have training in all areas of products we sold and customer service, which has helped mould me into the person I am today.
Meet Jess who has been a valuable member our team at Emu Ridge for 8 months now, she is really enjoying her Hospitality Trainee-ship with HITsa Training and Employment – RTO code 40200. Jess is multi skilled like all of us, but loves making a good coffee ☕. Its great to have her back as an adult, Jess used to work for us during her school years many years ago ❤
Once again, we are headed up to Yorke Peninsula to sell our goods at the Field Days in Paskeville. Leah from AW Vater & Co always looks after us. We have been in their Marquee in the same place for the last 6 field days.
We thank everyone in the area for their continued support. Larry and I lived in Kadina for a while so its always great to catch-up with family and old friends!
Thanks to my sister Coralie and her partner Smillie who continued on selling our Eucalyptus and Emu oil at the Melrose and Jamestown show. Its always great to get your products out and about.
Shemia my niece enjoyed being a model in at the fashion parade. Working for Nadia Stamp where she worked alongside the other Finesse Models. What a great job she did to!
It’s not just farm stuff. There is something for everyone at the field days my granddaughter Maggie got her hair braided by the Tafe team very cute!
